Most people think it’s better to wait until February or March to list a property for sale, because of the Christmas and New Year celebrations. The problem with that is, you’ll be competing with lots of other like minded people. There is always lower inventory during the Winter months (fewer properties on the market). Less competition for you!
Buyers that are house hunting in December and January are usually looking for the Winter sun. If you have a South facing property, now is a great time to sell.
