Reality is, it’s tiring when you’re looking to buy a home in Spain. You’ll probably start your property search online, then arrange to view your favourites by a virtual viewing appointment or in-person if you’re in Spain.
But what happens if you’ve been looking for quite some time, but still haven’t found “The One”?
The property market is getting busier with buyers just like you. So why do you keep getting left behind when other buyers are snapping up homes in areas where you’re looking too?

Location perhaps? Maybe it’s time to widen your search area. What if local amenities were a little further away than you were hoping for? Would that be a deal breaker for you, if it meant you’d secure a home that had everything else you were looking for?
Maybe you could compromise on how many bedrooms you’d like to have in a home. Are the additional bedrooms to accommodate occasional friends and family visits? Nothing wrong with a sofa bed in the lounge for your guests, especially if it means you could buy a home that fits everything else on your wish list!
Need more than one bathroom? This can be the perfect compromise on two bedroomed properties. Usually, two bedroomed homes come with one bathroom. Don’t immediately discard a property if it does only have one bathroom, especially if there’s room to add another one on in the future.
Changing your search criteria slightly will help with your Spanish property search. You’d be surprised at how many homes you could be missing out on!
