From 25th July through to 10th October, there are property related bills that are due to be paid through the Suma office.
IBI (Impuesto Sobre Bienes Inmuebles); Often referred to locally as SUMA = Council Tax
Although the voluntary payment term is between 25th July and 10th October, the direct debit for the “Suma” (Council Tax) bill is usually debited from your bank account towards the end of September to the beginning of October. This payment is for the year starting from January through to December. If you sell your property at any time during the year, this bill will be divided appropriately between the home seller and the buyer.
If you haven’t set this payment up as a direct debit, you can pay it online with a credit card, directly through the SUMA website: suma.es To make things even easier, their website is in English too!
