In the ever-evolving real estate world, it’s now crucial for clients to be vigilant and informed. The new law came into effect on 16th October 2023. This new regulation mandates that all real estate agents, independent individuals, and online agents must pass licensing exams and obtain an RAICV (Registro de Agentes Inmobiliarios de la Comunidad Valenciana), number to legally operate within the region.
Agency’s/agents without an RAICV number will be legally PROHIBITED from selling or renting properties within the Valencian Community.
Don’t assume an agency is legally registered simply based on the presence of a single or multiple offices. It’s crucial to verify the legal status of the real estate agency/agent, as it protects your interests and ensures a secure transaction process. Remember, a visible RAICV number is not just a formality, but a symbol of an agency's commitment to operating within the bounds of the law. Using someone without it, could end up costing you thousands!
